My thoughts and good wishes go out to the folks at Flagship Studios, developers of Hellgate: London and Mythos. Word came today that they’ve closed their doors. Some rumors say their Korean publisher will be taking the games over, other rumors suggest that though Flagship is gone, the employees and IP could be snapped up by some other company.
I can’t help but be reminded of Sigil’s employees standing out in their parking lot a year ago.I absolutely hope everyone lands on their feet. I never played H:L, but I did play Mythos a lot, and was really looking forward to its release.

NOooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Oh well, I guess D3 is coming out. That should satisfy my dungeon-crawling hack n slash need.
Looks like possible dark days ahead for Hellgate: London players. Though nothing is certain until the official word and IP ownership is decided if a legal battle ends up coming into play.

Well, let’s just hope a miracle happens and the original team is kept on to bring Mythos to release. Was just playing it again this morning — still casual action MMO fun and getting better all the time.
Mythos is an amazing game for what it is… far more playable and fun than HG:L ever was. I hope at the very least it gets picked up by EA or someone else who’s close to Flagship.
This is really sad, I thought they had a really good thing on their hands with Mythos. Sadly they released a not-so-really-good thing and charged people money for it. It is always bad when I buy your game and don’t really play it because I am busy with your free to play demo turned into a side project.
