Game Night: Jaws of the Lion, “Misplaced Goods”

Our Jaws of the Lion campaign continues. We’re nearing the end, and all of our characters have gotten their late game power ups. We’re clearing out our quest log before heading to the end game.

The header image is a spoiler, by the way. I’d be concerned if I thought anyone who would ever care would read this 馃檪 I’d put off painting the contents of the secret character boxes until everyone had unlocked theirs, but with Ally finally unlocking her mech, I couldn’t put it off any longer.

I’m still so far from being able to paint minis, but there is paint on the minis and I am calling that a win. Once I learn to highlight and dry brush, I may revisit these. If you want to know what each of the secret minis does, well, you’ll just have to play the game — I won’t spoil that.

The party takes on some unwelcome guests

The plot for “Misplaced Goods” is that an Inox merchant we met in a City Event asked us to track down some goods that went missing from her shop. She suspected they were spirited away to a warehouse down by the waterfront, and something about the foul ichor the thieves left behind made her reluctant to try and track them down herself.

Enter us, the ever-poor, never-careful Jaws of the Lion. It wasn’t high on our priority list, but we’d exhausted everything else, and so in we went.

The warehouse was filled with goods — and also Chaos Demons! Why they thought they wanted apples and carrots is anyone’s guess, but when we see demons, we kill them, and so we set to it while opening crates to see if any of them contained the merchant’s missing goods.

Some of them contained only monsters! The rat monstrosities and black sludges as in the picture above, as well as more chaos demons. Ally, stomping around in her mech, found a magic ring among the wreckage. Tom’s Hatchet got a string of blesses in his modifier deck, completely destroying many of the threats we faced. That made it an easy mission for us all.

Before we headed to the warehouse, while we were still in the Sleeping Lion wasting time, I (the Voidwarden) felt a disturbance in the Void. We’d committed to finding the misplaced goods today, but soon, we’ll have to see what is up with the Warders that hold back the Void. (This is my character’s personal quest, and it looks HARD).
