Each of these probably should get their own posts, but I am exceedingly lazy.
Other Games
Non-MMO games.
V Rising: Hitting the Hemoglobin
Ever want to play a vampire who hides from the sun in the castle they have built to protect their riches from other vampires? Then this is literally the game for you. If you’re more in the mood for a PvE survival game, though… have you heard the good news about Valheim?
Restarting in Valheim
Those “in the know” remember how much I’m struggling in Bloodborne and Elden Ring, even as I finish up the last of the main campaigns in Wildermyth. Those, though, are all primarily solo games. When I want to hang with friends, though, there’s only two choices: DCUO, and Valheim. And Team Spode mate Calrain made a whole new world and invited me in to go through the game a second time as we wait for Mistlands to re-appear.
Salt & Sanctuary: When Watching Elden Ring Isn’t Enough
My partner is playing our copy of Elden Ring, and I’d love to do more than just watch. Doesn’t make much sense to buy another copy when I can just use his when he’s done, but I wanted to play a Souls-like and I didn’t much like Bloodborne (which I had for free). Enter Salt & Sanctuary, a 2D souls-like for those who think a third dimension is just showing off.
7DRL 2022: Retrospective
7DRL is over. Most everyone has turned in their games. After several hours of last minute changes to improve balance, I submitted “You Are the Amulet” at the end of Day 6. This is the retrospective on the project; what went well, what went poorly, and what I will do differently next time.
